In some cases, you may not need all of the bells and whistles of the HydraSafe Plus. Our Easy model can be driven from any existing controller that provides an emergency brake circuit for any of our competitors systems.
We can be a simple passive device that will just set and reset from the out puts of your existing controls. So, if you experience a failure of the existing system and want to replace it with a better product, we make it Easy. Our Easy model can accept the addition of any of our many features at any time in the future.
* HYDRASAFE PLUS
Ascending Car Protection: It has been noted by many that our device is the only one that is in the right location. Other devices either grab the brake drum, cable sheave or the cables. There are circumstances in which each of these designs can fail to hold the elevator. The HydraSafe system is the only device that locks the elevator car to the rails. Another unique feature of our system is we monitor the position and speed of the elevator and in many cases can get the elevator to within a door zone.
Unintended Motion and Uncontrolled Motion: Traction elevators are required by code to have this safety feature on new elevators or only if the elevator is modernized. Hydraulic elevators have no code requiring this safety feature. Hydraulic elevators in general have no type of safety device at all. The HydraSafe system is easily installed on any traction or hydraulic elevator.
Elevator Door Lock Jumper Protection: Code is going to require that all elevators have some way of detecting that the door lock safety circuit is intact and not overridden by a physical jumper. There have been some very devastating results from jumpers being left on door circuits over the past few years that have caused great bodily injuries and death. The HydraSafe system has a feature that will detect a jumper on the door circuit causing the system to set and not allow the elevator to move. In the everyday maintenance and repair of elevators door locks need to be disabled. Our system will allow the elevator technician to safely jump the door circuits and in conjunction with our controls can lead the technician to the area of trouble.
Elevator Pit Encroachment Monitor: Most elevator technicians get hurt or die in an elevator pit. They get complacent and will just climb in to make a quick adjustment or inspection and the elevator will move unexpectedly. The HydraSafe system has a feature to sense an object in the pit and will stop the elevator immediately.
First Responder and Emergency Evacuation Safety: When an elevator gets stuck with passengers many times the first responders are the closest and get there before the elevator technician. The biggest fear and risk for the first responders is that the elevator will move while they are evacuating the passengers. Our device can be set remotely from the fire panel and ensure the safety of the first responders and the passengers.
Ease of Installation: The installation of the HydraSafe system is simple. We mount on the crosshead under the roller guide and we grab the rail. We send the unit out predrilled for your application including drilled specifically for the guide system you have. This eliminates the need for raising up existing machines to add a rope gripping device, structural reviews for attachment procedures or adding an additional disk and brake to the original equipment. There is a controller interface box that takes a few crucial inputs from the existing controller; this information is sent to the HydraSafe controller mounted on the elevator. We monitor doors, elevator position and movement from the elevator itself. Our device can be installed on any type or age elevator system without the need for a full elevator control change.
